Oh yeah, I get what you mean by the "exception" part. I find that I often have to dig my way through the fandoms to get to the fanfics that I think are the good ones. But, I'm wondering if in a way that makes it more fulfilling. But I'll def check the Inception fandom out, if they're as good as you say they are :) I guess it's the audience. kpop targed at (mostly/used to be) adolescent, squealy fangirls, Inception at a more mature, more book-oriented audience?
OH. AUTHOUR RECCOMENDATIONS. YAY. I'll definitley check those out sometimes, I'm currently in a reading mood. Wow, you know way more Japanese authours than I do, haha. Perhaps I shall return the honour?: Kafka, Margaret Atwood, Anne Michaels, Hilary Mantel (Wolf Hall!), Colum McCann (Let the Great World Spin).
