If that's how you saw it end, than maybe it is. I wrote it differently though--I ended it ambiguously but with hints to a brighter ending. I thought it was obvious, but a lot of people seemed saddened by the ending so my hint at the slightly better ending probably wasn't as obvious as I thought it was. It is there though.
